Today’s Guest:
Our success story today is Melissa. She began trying to get pregnant in August 2010, around her thirtieth birthday. After a year or so, she sought treatment at a fertility clinic, and her diagnosis fluctuated between PCOS and unexplained infertility. She tried Clomid and several cycles of IUI and IVF before changing clinics and receiving a subsequent diagnosis of high prolactin.
Throughout her treatment process, Melissa and her husband have suffered multiple losses and have received very few answers to their “why” questions. She speaks openly about the isolation, loneliness, and darkness she has felt: “Maybe this is just not meant to happen for me.” However, things have turned around for Melissa, who is more than halfway through her pregnancy now!

Welcome back to Shawn, who told her story in our twelfth episode. Her journey has included a low morphology diagnosis for her husband, and endometriosis and insulin resistance issues for her. After we last talked with Shawn, she began IUI cycles and then moved quickly into rounds of IVF.
