Today’s Guest:

Our success story today is Katie. She has battled dual factor infertility with her husband’s low morphology and her endometriosis, fibroids, and short luteal phase. After discovering one problem after another in her struggle to have a child, Katie advises to anyone in her position: “Run to an RE, and don’t rely on your gynecologist. [GYN’s] know women’s health, but not infertility.”

Katie used blogging and exercise to cope and keep their lives moving forward. After three unsuccessful IUI cycles, they moved to IVF and transferred one blastocyst, which became their daughter. They are now in the middle of trying for a second child but have already experienced a miscarriage earlier this year. Katie feels confident about the next IVF cycle, which is scheduled to begin very soon.

Whom We’re Following:

Welcome back to Karly, who told her story in our tenth episode. She was diagnosed with uterine fibroids, which unfortunately lead to multiple miscarriages. After several unsuccessful IUI cycles, she recently completed her first IVF cycle.
