Today’s success story is about a woman named Tiffany. She began her infertility journey like a lot of women — doing IUIs through her OB. When she finally moved to a RE, it was time to try IVF. Because she once got pregnant on her own, although she miscarried at 10 weeks, her RE felt certain she would be successful with IVF. Like so many of our stories, not everything was what it seemed. Join us to hear how she found success after opening her heart and mind to other options.

What you’ll hear in this episode:

  • Who Tiffany was before infertility: easy going and relaxed
  • How she met her husband in high school, then reconnected later
  • Tiffany always wanted to be a mother
  • How their first pregnancy ended in miscarriage
  • How Tiffany felt upon seeing an RE for the first time
  • A diagnosis: ovarian cysts and endometriosis
  • Considering donor eggs and foster care on the path to parenthood
  • How Tiffany felt constant support from her family
  • In 2014, six IVF cycles — with no success
  • Donor eggs — and a daughter!
  • How Tiffany felt when she found out her pregnancy was real
  • Balancing work and treatments with flexible hours
  • Most costs were covered under insurance except for donor egg costs
  • The emotions at her daughter’s birth: “It was all worth it.”
  • Infertility changed Tiffany into a stronger person with a stronger marriage
