Today’s success story is about a woman named April. Although she always knew she wanted to be a mom, she wasn’t always sure it was going to happen. Her first husband had a lot of medical issues and ultimately passed away. It took her several years and some big life changes to move forward. However, motherhood finally felt like a possibility once she met the man who is now her husband. Although they could have seen someone sooner because she was over 35, they tried on their own for about 10 months before visiting her OB for some initial testing. Today’s journey update is from a woman named Nadine, who you might remember from Episode 81. When we last spoke, she was just about to transfer a frozen embryo. Since then, she did that frozen transfer, which unfortunately failed. During the following cycle, her RE ran an Endometrial Receptivity Array, and she sought the opinion of a specialist in Boston about Asherman’s Syndrome to get his opinion on whether or not she should pursue surrogacy. Today’s success story is about a woman named Flannery. Before infertility, she describes herself as independent, adventurous, and optimistic. However, over the years, she became more of a planner and worrier. She and her now husband met in 2011 and were married a couple years later. They are both introverts who are best friends and just enjoy spending time together. She was diagnosed with a uterine abnormality in 2014 — before they even started trying to conceive, so her journey is a bit different than most. Today’s success story is about a woman named Susi. Her story is very different than most in that she first experienced her own infertility and then became a gestational carrier. About eight years ago, her then husband was diagnosed with male factor infertility and given a grim prognosis. However, they were successfully able to conceive two children after a strong course of antibiotics for a testicular infection. Fast forward several years, she heard about a couple in need of a gestational carrier and volunteered. Join us to hear how they went through three failed cycles before eventually switching to a natural IVF protocol.

Today’s success story is about a woman named Tammy. As the sixth child in a family of seven children, she always knew she wanted to have kids. Tammy unfortunately had to see five REs before getting an official diagnosis — one that was caused by an appendectomy when she was 8 years old. Like so many others, she was devastated when her first IVF transfer didn’t work and struggled to regain a positive attitude. Join us to hear how Tammy eventually received three diagnoses, suffered two losses, had a hysterectomy, but still ended up with two beautiful children and donated her remaining embryos.

Although she always knew she wanted to be a mom, she didn’t start trying to conceive until later in life — and she wonders if she would have struggled less had she tried earlier. Much to her surprise, at first, she had no difficulty becoming pregnant, but she kept miscarrying. However, after a D&C, her period didn’t return, thus starting a long road battling Asherman’s Syndrome.
