Today’s success story is about a woman named Flannery. Before infertility, she describes herself as independent, adventurous, and optimistic. However, over the years, she became more of a planner and worrier. She and her now husband met in 2011 and were married a couple years later. They are both introverts who are best friends and just enjoy spending time together. She was diagnosed with a uterine abnormality in 2014 — before they even started trying to conceive, so her journey is a bit different than most. Tammy unfortunately had to see five REs before getting an official diagnosis — one that was caused by an appendectomy when she was 8 years old. Like so many others, she was devastated when her first IVF transfer didn’t work and struggled to regain a positive attitude. Join us to hear how Tammy eventually received three diagnoses, suffered two losses, had a hysterectomy, but still ended up with two beautiful children and donated her remaining embryos.

Our success story today is Natalia, who experienced secondary infertility. Natalia has two daughters, ages 10 and 11, from a previous marriage, and had no reason to suspect infertility when she and her husband married in 2011. From that time until the present, Natalia has gone through several miscarriages, irregular ovulation, many timed intercourse cycles, and two major foot surgeries. During some of this time, her husband was deployed with the military overseas. To top it off, Natalia’s RE retired at the end of 2014!

Our success story today is Chrissy. She faced the huge obstacle of being diagnosed with MRKH, which means the underdevelopment or absence of the vaginal canal, cervix, and uterus. Chrissy spent her teenage years facing all sorts of difficulties due to her female issues. She underwent exploratory surgery that turned into an experience that almost took her life. It wasn’t until she met her husband and fell in love that she pursued finding answers to her questions.

Our success story today is Leyna, who started trying to get pregnant in 2010 after more than 10 years on birth control pills. She assumed, like most people, that it would be an easy process to pregnancy. A short time later, she was referred to a fertility specialist. After several diagnoses were tossed around, including hypothalamic amenorrhea, she was finally diagnosed with PCOS.
