Today’s success story is about a woman named Desiree. Before infertility, she was carefree and relaxed, but of course infertility changed that. Because she and her husband were high school sweethearts and had been together for 7 years before they got married, they were used to being just the two of them, so she wasn’t sure at first she wanted to have kids. But as soon as having kids wasn’t an option, it was all she wanted. Let’s listen to how her journey spanned 3 different doctors, multiple states, and even more extended breaks before she finally became pregnant with twins.

She’s a nurse practitioner with a history of thyroid cancer, but when she and her husband started trying to conceive, she was surprised to learn she also had an ovulation disorder, elevated natural killer cells, possible endometriosis, and egg quality issues. When finally faced with IVF, she assumed it would work on the first try, and her world came crashing down when that didn’t happen. Our success story today is Anamarie, who began trying to get pregnant in April 2014. She knew right away that she would be someone with fertility problems. She began seeing an RE, had routine blood tests done, and found that her progesterone levels were so low that she wasn’t even ovulating. All of this was despite the fact that she had normal, regular periods for years. Anamarie began Clomid cycles in January 2015, consequently suffering from hot flashes and extreme emotional ups and downs. Listen in as she describes the outcome!
